The Trio

Virtuoso accordionist Douglas Marcolino crafts a modern and audacious forró, driven by the energy and rhythmic finesse of Christophe Bras and Eugenio Silva. Together, they compose music without borders, where Brazilian roots are enriched by improvisation and the freedom of jazz. Each note, each pulse, transports the listener on a vibrant journey between revisited traditions and contemporary impulses.

Douglas Marcolino

Douglas Marcolino embodies the soul of Brazil’s Northeast. Introduced to the accordion at a very young age by his father, Tiao Marcolino, he recorded his first album at eight and honed his craft alongside some of the greatest musicians: Dominguinhos, Hermeto Pascoal, and Gennaro do Acordeon. His journey has taken him to all corners of Brazil and far beyond. In 2010, an international tour brought him to Paris, a city that captivated him and where he chose to settle in 2011. Today, he tours the world, proudly representing forró and exploring new sounds, always guided by his passion and virtuosity.

Christophe Bras

Christophe Bras became a professional musician at a very young age. Curious and passionate, he explored different styles and collaborated extensively both on stage and in the studio. Drawn to jazz and Brazilian music, he played with artists such as Sergio Mendes, Marcio Faraco, Chico Pinheiro, and Filo Machado. With over 30 years of experience, he continues to bring this music to life with energy and authenticity.

Eugenio Silva

Born in Madeira, Eugenio Silva began playing the double bass in his village’s philharmonic orchestra before moving to Paris at the age of 19. A bassist specializing in traditional music, he later trained in jazz at the American School of Modern Music.
